Indications/Uses
Flemex Adjunctive therapy in otitis, sinusitis, nasopharyngitis, tubal otorrhea. Reduce hypersecretion prior to surgery. Flemex Kids Loosens mucus & eases cough. Resp disorders characterized by excessive or viscous & tenacious mucus eg, cold, acute & chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, tracheobronchitis, asthmatic bronchitis & emphysema.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Flemex chewable tab Adult 2 tab tds. May be reduced to 1 tab tds after satisfactory response is obtained. Syr 250 mg/5 mL Adult 1 tbsp tds. Childn 5-12 yr <5 mL tds. 2-5 yr 5 mL once daily-bd. 100 mg/5 mL Childn 2-5 yr 5 mL once daily-bd. Infant & childn <2 yr 2.5 mL once daily-bd. Flemex Kids syr Childn 2-5 yr 5 mL once daily-bd. Infant & childn <2 yr 2.5 mL once daily-bd.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Special Precautions
Patients w/ history of peptic ulcer. Flemex Not recommended in concomitant use w/ antitussive agents. Contains alcohol 5%. Flemex Kids Increased flow of secretion.
